Why is oxytocin called the love drug?
Oxytocin is a hormone and neurotransmitter that is involved with, amongst other things, empathy, trust, relationship building or social bonding and stress reduction.
It is sometimes referred to as the β€œlove hormone,” because levels of oxytocin increase during hugging, touching and kissing.
Because lions and hyena are highly social animals it stands to reason that they respond well to these positive interactions and thrive off them.

In the sequence of photos only one lion has been repeated. Can you identify which lion it is? Leave your answer πŸ‘‡πŸ½ in the comments and tag someone who loves getting hugs πŸ€— and kisses 😘
